Anglian Building Products, the business-to-business division of Anglian Windows Limited, have been appointed by LHC to their PVC-U Windows and Doors U8 Framework Arrangement for the next four years.

LHC is a not-for-profit, local government organisation, which has over 40 years experience of providing procurement solutions for all public sector buildings. LHC’s new U8 Framework Arrangement has been set up to service public sector contracts throughout mainland UK and is divided into five geographical lots. Anglian Building Products have been appointed to the U8 Framework Arrangement for all five geographical lots.

Anglian Building Products underwent a rigorous selection process including pre-qualification, a thorough assessment of technical and service capability and financial competiveness.

The LHC Account Management team recently visited Anglian Building Products’ manufacturing operation in Norwich to witness their capabilities first hand. Neil Barker Head of Business Development at LHC commented: “Our team was very impressed with the Anglian operation. The PVC-U Windows and Doors collaborative procurement U8 Framework is suitable for all types of public sector buildings across the UK from low to high rise.

Anglian Building Products has appointed Chris Allen as Business Development Manager for Wales, the Midlands and the South West of England.

Chris brings with him over 15 years experience in account management and business development within the public sector marketplace.

Chris has great experience of working in the public sector property refurbishment market providing a wide range of goods and services, including many years working for kitchen specialist Moores Furniture Group.

In addition to his geographical area, Chris’ new role will see him focussing specifically on the education and military markets.

Anglian Building Products will join over 400 Welsh housing professionals next week (20 – 22 April) at TAI 2010 in Cardiff.

Anglian Building Products to exhibit at TAI 2010

Demonstrating their experience in providing large-scale refurbishment programmes, Anglian will highlight the recent works undertaken on behalf of Carmarthenshire County Council alongside their portfolio of UPVC windows and doors, cavity wall, loft and external solid wall insulation programmes.

TAI 2010 is the annual conference of Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru. The event, being held at Cardiff City Hall, will attract almost 400 Welsh housing professionals over three days. With 2010 being billed as the year of change, the conference aims to examine the significance of the potential changes that will affect housing strategy and front line delivery.

The exhibition runs in conjunction with the conference and will bring more than 60 companies together under one roof as they promote their products and services to the key decision makers from across Wales.

Anglian staff dressed up in yellow today as part of the international ‘Go Bananas on Fruity Friday’ fundraising campaign for World Cancer Research.

Fruity Friday is an annual awareness and fundraising campaign, held by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK), to increase public awareness of the links between diet, nutrition and cancer prevention, and to raise valuable funds for cancer research and education programmes.
