Stockton in Bloom – The Results
The Royal Horticultural Society, Britain in Bloom competition has come to a close, but here are some pictures of Stockton in Bloom, who received £150 funding from Anglian Home Improvements.
The Stockton ‘In Bloom’ team had a superb idea this year. What is the one thing that irritates all gardeners? WEEDS! Well, Stockton in Bloom decided to give out Free Community Weeding Kits to Good Homes, to help them in there never ending battle against weeds.
All those who received a kit did their best to fight off weeds in their local area in a bid to retain control. With a successful winter campaign last year, where they gave out 100 free snow shovels to those who wanted to help make the community a safer place to be.
The big question is; was it another success story this year?
Well, the people of Stockton can be very proud of their hard work as it paid off, winning them the City category, claiming a Gold award! What a great effort from the whole community of Stockton.
