Children in Need at Anglian
Friday was Children in Need and everyone at Anglian Home Improvements pulled out all the stops to make it a fun, money raising day!
The events going on throughout the day included Bingo, Party Food Buffet and Guess the Spots on Todd (the Dalmation). Each of these was raised money for Children in Need to help the deprived children of the UK.
Thursday night saw the Children in Need Rocks concert take place, with the likes of Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran and JLS performing, bringing in massive crowds and huge donations from all who attended, including the celebrity guests in the crowd.
The charity auction held by Anglian raised a whopping £192 with all the proceeds going to Children in Need. It proved a massive success as people across the country got into bidding wars for different items, and it was an exciting and tense few hours. The teeth whitening and Norwich City signed football proved popular items, with 3 or 4 different people all trying to outbid each other.
About £25 was raised from guessing the amount of spots on Todd with Caroline Mills guessing correctly! Our party food buffet was great fun, and everybody was fully on board filling the fridge with all sorts of goodies, all of which were shared amongst the staff members. Each time people took some food, they paid a donation. We also played Bingo during the day, with 5 games played in total. These 2 events proved very successful, raising a massive £161.73 from them both.
Anglian Home Improvements raised a grand total of £379.53! With all this money raised hopefully it will change the lives of children across the UK and raise the standard of their living. Thank you to all of those who have donated, bid on prizes and had a punt on the bingo.
