Anglian Launch Orangeries!
Anglian Home Improvements have released a new product to continue raising the standard of your home, and what better way than with a luxurious Orangery.
An Orangery is a brick building with a glass roof, lots of windows and pillars for support and decoration. They became popular in Britain between the 17th and 19th century in fashionable houses as a place to grow citrus trees and exotic plants (hence the name).
Orangeries first started popping up in Italy when glass making technology advanced and people were able to produce large sheets of clear glass. With this improvement they put in big clear roofs to harness the suns energy and take full advantage of it to grow fruit and plants, sometimes putting in a stove to heat the room throughout winter.
With their beautifully designed pillars and fashioned brick corbelling it is no wonder that they became a symbol of status, with Louis XIV building the biggest Orangery in Europe to show off his wealth and importance in France during 1617. I bet he was the envy of all the neighbouring Kings and Queens!
That was 400 years ago, but trends are coming back round. We want more traditional looking houses with unique structures and designs to separate our houses from the others, to make us proud of our home and want to show it off to everyone! What better way than with Anglian’s great style, quality products and great service!
Anglian can build your orangery to complement your house, so if you have any unique designs on your home, we will try to carry them on throughout the orangery, including the types of windows, brick corbelling and even put in bi-fold doors for the finishing touch.
It is not just the external design that makes an Anglian Orangery unique; we give you the opportunity to bring it up to date! Inside the build between the roof and the wall there is a space, almost like a parapet, meaning you can spice up the new room by adding features like ceiling lights that can set the mood for dinner parties or a relaxing evening with a glass of wine.
If, however, you love to unwind listening to your favourite artist, why not install speakers into this space, surrounding you with the dulcet tones of Kathryn Jenkins, whilst you sit on a comfy leather sofa looking out over your gorgeous garden.
By choosing to have an Anglian Orangery you are able to give your house extra space in a luxurious manner, using traditional styles and current trends to bring it into the 21st century. Either way, they make an exceptional extension to your home displaying beautiful views into your garden, a lovely warm room and one that you will most definitely be proud to show to your friends, family and neighbours.
